Germans can do gardens.
And my favourite one is Britzer Garten, Neukölln.
Not the easiest park to reach, even though you live in Neukölln itself, but to reach it I would travel for hours.
Entrance is only 3 euro and once you cross the gate you will fill like transported in another world, and one much better than Narnia.
An unmissable event this time of year is the Dahlienfeuer, that is if your favorite flower is the Dahlia.
10.000 Dahlias of 300 different types are grown and displayed in the open air. Simply amazing.
Even though you spend hours admiring each Dahlia, there is still plenty to see at the rose garden, the hexengarten, the Italian garden and much more…
If you happen to be visiting in spring, be then ready for the Tulips. I already saved the date in my agenda.
